Employer Ambassador program

The city of Vaasa has been awarded for the development of municipal work at the Kuntatyö2030 (MunicipalWork2030) gala.

The jury appreciated the city's employee ambassador program and video campaign launched in 2022, which was aiming to increase City of Vaasa's recognition as an employer.

The campaign was selected among the Finnish cities development actions to be rewarded in the most inspiring development actions of 2022 series.

An external employer opinion survey conducted in 2021 showed that outsiders do not know how interesting and significant work is done in the City of Vaasa organization. The goal was to get more recognition for the open workplaces, and also that the positive work could be seen outside.

The employee ambassador program

The employee ambassador program included 24 employees who were trained to share positive, inspiring everyday actions and events of their work on social media, mostly LinkedIn. At the same time, the opportunity to develop the use of social media is offered. Thanks to the program, the personnel have been able to learn new things about personal branding.

 An attractive employer

In the video campaign, the city wanted to stand out and tell what makes the city unique. In the videos, employees were put on stage and the message is conveyed that with us you are part of a work community where you can excel and do meaningful work, i.e. a happy everyday life for the people of Vaasa.
